Little Horkesley Boarding Kennels

Welcome to our fully licensed boarding kennels and day care facility, set in the peaceful countryside of Little Horkesley, Essex. Surrounded by beautiful parkland, our centre provides a calm, spacious, and secure environment where your dogs can feel relaxed and at home.

Our site is fully fenced and secure, and we operate on an appointment-only basis to ensure the safety and wellbeing of all dogs. We kindly ask that appointment times are strictly followed.

All kennels are fully air conditioned and heated, with our smaller kennels also offering an additional pull-down heat source for extra comfort.

Whether you need day care or boarding, we’re here to provide a safe and happy experience for your dog.

We had a great experience from start to finish. The staff were friendly, professional, and clearly care deeply about the dogs. Our mad Vizsla is a handful at the best of times, but he was very well looked after and was happy and settled when we collected him. The photo updates were especially reassuring and showed just how well he was doing. The facilities were clean and well maintained, communication throughout was excellent, and we wouldn’t hesitate to use them again or recommend them to others.

Immaculate and perfectly run kennels. I wouldn't trust anyone else with my dog. The team have this run like clockwork, send regular updates and accommodate my large breed dog and his quirks (he can be hard work...!). Thank you to Nicky, Megan and Lawrence for keeping my dog very happy and meaning I don't have to worry while I'm away.

So lovely to have a kennels where I feel like my dog is having an actual holiday! So much care and personal touches with this place. Will make future trips away much more settled knowing my pup is having a comfortable and enjoyable time as well! Beautiful surroundings and safe/secure.

Our labradoodle Stanley has been going to Little Horkesley Kennels since he was 6 months old and we’d never send him anywhere else! Whether it’s a short overnight stay or a longer two week stint, we know he’s safe and happy and well cared for. Over new year, he was the only dog staying and the team had him in the office with them so he didn’t feel lonely, and as it was his birthday, they threw him a little party too which was so lovely. We got photos every day which is really reassuring, especially when you’re abroad. 10/10!!

Our golden retriever, Ozzie, has stayed with Nicky and Megan at Little Horkesley twice now and he has had the most amazing time there. It gives us huge peace of mind while away knowing how well looked after he is. We get ‘pupdates’ every day, showing our Ozzie having a blast and making our day with hilarious photos. Nicky was extremely accommodating when we needed to extend Ozzie’s stay last minute due to Eurostar issues leaving us stuck abroad - she really saved us! Despite now living 1hr 30mins away, we will always use Little Horkesley for Ozzie. Thomas & Rhiannon

This isn’t a kennel — it’s a dog hotel and a family. I was incredibly nervous about leaving my dogs, but from day one the love, care and attention they received put me completely at ease.
The staff are exceptional: loving, thoughtful and genuinely devoted to every dog in their care as well as their owners. Beautiful purpose-built rooms, home comforts, loads of exercise and endless affection mean the dogs are truly treated as their own.
The regular photo updates were everything — seeing my dogs relaxed, happy and clearly adored helped me relax and actually enjoy being away for the first time.
And the biggest endorsement of all? My dogs absolutely love it there.
I wouldn’t leave them anywhere else. 💛🐶

Recently had a lovely experience. Took our little Luna at very late notice and they were an absolute delight from start to finish. Greg is a gent and Megan was amazing with our nervous newbie. Will be using next year 100%.
