Does my dog need a trial visit before their stay?

We ask that all dogs visit for a full day prior to any bookings, this is charged at the normal day care rate. The reason being this allows the dog to get used to us and a kennel environment, making a longer stay with us a happier experience. It also gives us the chance to meet your dog and assess the compatibility of them to the kennel environment

What vaccinations does my dog need to have to stay?

Your dog must be fully vaccinated for Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus, Parainfluenza, Leptospirosis and Kennel Cough. Where the kennel cough vaccine has been given via squirting it up the dogs nose, there must be a time lapse of 15 days before the dog can come on site. This is due to it being a live vaccine that is given in this way. The vaccination card will need to be seen at the time of dropping your dog off with us and held by us for the duration of the dogs stay.

Does my dog need to be chipped?

All dogs must be chipped and wear a collar with id tag during their stay with us.

When do I need to pay?

All charges are to be paid prior to the arrival of your dog. Any extra charges incurred during the stay to be paid before departure.

What are your collection and drop off times?

Drop Off and collection times are by appointment between the times of 8am to 5.30pm Monday to Saturday. We are closed on Sundays for all except Boarders.

What happens if my dog is nervous about kennels?

We dislike to see an unhappy dog and will do everything in our power to make your dogs stay with us a happy experience. We pride ourselves on going above and beyond to make your dog happy, so please tell us what your dog requires before their stay to help them be happy with us. There are always people on site to give your dog the attention they need.

What happens if my dog becomes ill whilst in your care?

In the event of injury or illness during the period of their stay with us, the dog will be treated by our Vet at Linkswood Veternary Centre unless otherwise agreed with us. All costs will need to be paid upon collection of the dog.

Will my dog get exercised and walked during their stay?

Whilst in our care all dog’s will be exercised in the off lead area, this can of course be off lead or on lead. They also have use of the smaller AstroTurf Ed exercise pens.

Are you kennels heated and air conditioned?

Whilst all our kennels are air conditioned and heated, some of our kennels have an extra pull down heat source for smaller dogs but these are limited so please let us know at the time of booking if this is required.

How often will you contact us whilst our dog is in your care?

Personalised “pupdates” can also be sent via whats app to your mobile phone. Please let us know at time of dropping the dog off if you would like this. We are of course always here if you want to give us a call and check your furry friend is ok.

Who supplies the dog food?

The owner is to supply the food and any medication for the dog whilst in our care.

Do I need to bring my dogs bed, blankets etc?

Ideally yes as a dog likes to have familiar things around them, we do however have spare beds and blankets here if needed. We also have an abundance of water and food bowls. Feel free to bring any favourite toys or balls that your doggie likes.

Can the off lead parkland be hired out?

Yes the fully secure fenced in park land can be hired for £12 for one hour. This is for up to four dogs that must all be from the same household. We can however accommodate more dogs or mixed households but there are extra charges for this. Please contact the office for more details or to book.
